HOW TO BE A GREAT WORSHIP LEADER

Wisdom is a principal thing according to the book of proverbs,therefore get wisdom and in all thy getting get understanding. I want to share some important tips on how to be a good worship leader in your church or any where you are invited to minister.

1. PRAY AND WORSHIP BEFORE TIME

A good worship leader must be addicted to worship and prayers. You can't make impart without being soaked with the presence before getting the microphone.

2. MAKE A GOOD SELECTION OF THE SONGS YOU SING

It is very wrong for a worship leader to bring out strange songs. you must be able to sing simple songs (Note. Even if you choose to sing a sing that is not familiar or you sing out of inspiration, make sure you take time to communicate it to the audience and let the flow along with you.)

3. COMMUNICATE WITH THE PEOPLE

A worship leader must be able to communicate with the audience and help them to understand the essence of worship and why we worship. remember you are not performing but you are leafing people before the throne of grace. Don't  be too carried away sing that you will not leave the people behind.

4. SUSTAIN THE FLOW

Make sure you are able to sustain the flow of the spirit. Don't be too fast to cut in songs. You must sustain a particular sing for a while and be careful when bringing out new songs so that you will not kill the flow of the spirit.

5. MASTER THE SONGS YOU SING

A worship leader must master the songs he or she sings to avoid confusion and embarrassment.

6. DRESS WELL

You must dress well.

7. KNOW THE TYPE OF SONGS YOU SING

it is not all songs that are slow in tempo are worship songs ,Songs are categorize in different categories. we have the lamentations, deliverance,.... types of songs. never sing songs that the content is not related to worship during worship.
